NOT MY MOM’S JEANS

there are two types of people in this world:

those who love mom jeans. and those who simply can’t pull them off.

if you’re the latter, don’t tell me how much you hate them. just don’t. actually, just leave. because mom jeans are (one of) the best thing that’s happened to me. they’re insanely comfortable, probably the best version of denim.

okay, that may be a bit much. boyfriend jeans do exist of course.

mom jeans are best paired with crop tops, especially when they’re high-waisted. it helps show that you still have a shape, keeps the outfit from being too blocky.

in my office i can’t exactly get away with a crop top. so to give the same effect, i tuck my shirt in tightly to really snatch my waistline. choosing a blouse over a t-shirt is the best way to keep it very clean cut, after all i am already choosing denim for officewear.

but once the clock strikes 5, i can turn this blouse into a cropped knot top. and show off my (not so) little waist. monochromatic looks have got to be at the top of my list, so i really love the multiple shades of blue i was able to pull together for this outfit. why look for a perfect match when you could just wear it in every shade?
