FASHION LAW: VOLUME 3: CHAPTER 12: SUBTITLE B
“Thou mustnt weareth white after Labor Day and before Memorial Day. He (she, or they – because we’re pronoun friendly over here) who doth wear the color shall be shunned from all others.”
so…it’s safe to bring it out, right?
popular “unpopular” opinion: that rule is wack. my favorite time to wear white is winter.
but i must admit, summer white is fun to sport too. it’s such a clean, crisp look. since it’s such a light color, which means you don’t absorb as much heat. when worn right, you’ll feel almost no heat at all. light cottons & linen are some of my favorites during the summer. the light breeze flows right through them, so i’m comfortabe all day long. so grab your whitest whites and see how good you look.
today i paired a simple dress pant with a basic white tank top for an easy monochromatic look. to bring in a little shine in i wore my favorite booties, in rose gold. and to top it all off i added in a raincoat with earthy colors, because the east coast is all about rain these days. comfy + stylish +
